How I went from this

To this... in just 2 weeks

Literally hashtags.

So I've always used hashtags on my Instagram posts but I was to "scared" for people to see them so I would always add them to the caption the day after I posted the image. That is until I realized the algorithm of hashtags organizes it by most recent. So the people that follow the hashtag #blogger are not going to see your image appear on their page if you add the hashtags a day late. Every time they refresh the home page the latest #blogger post is going to appear. So I started adding bulletin points after my actual caption so unless people click "see more" they won't know I have the hashtags on my picture.

30 Hashtags

You may or may not know that you can use up to 30 hashtags per picture. So use all 30.

Switch out your hashtags.

Don't always use the same ones. I use basic ones #clothes #style #blogger but I also add more specific ones like #pittsburghblogger #girlystyle #eastcoastblogger.

Engage with OTHER people who share your niche.

I actually joined a group called "blogger beauties" which is a blogging community where we post tips and interact with peach other posts. By engage I mean, go to the people that follow people similar to you and follow them, like their posts, message them, etc.

Begin a posting schedule.

I began posting a picture every other day and a story at least once a day. I don't want people to get tired of seeing me on their home page so I don't post every day but I also don't want them to forget they follow me so I at least post a story.

My biggest advice is to use hashtags because it is going to get you on peoples recommended page. You can see from my last post 2,453 came from hashtags but only 981 found me from the home page.

You CAN do it! Message me if you have any questions or suggestions!

Xoxo,

LL
